Our Funding Priorities
How does the ABC Education Foundation determine which programs to fund?
Most of the funding is distributed through the annual Grant Program. In the fall of every year, ABCUSD teachers and administrators can apply for a grant (formally mini grant) to help fund projects throughout the year. The Grant Review Committee, made up of Foundation board members and dignified community volunteers participate in a blind review and scoring process for every application. The application requires a detailed proposal for how the funds will be used and what benefit the programs or purchases will provide the students or staff. The committee readers score each application based on established rubric. Applications are qualified and selected based on the ranking order in different categories, aligned with ABC Unified School District Strategic Plan.
