About the ABC Education Foundation
The ABC Education Foundation was founded in 2010, and given approval on June 16, 2011 as a 501 (c) (3), which gives the foundation exempt status from Federal income tax of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation was formed to support district programs that do not receive the funding they need for students' success, filling in the funding gap and making the resources available for all schools in the ABC Unified School District. The ABC Education Foundation is organized to conduct fundraising and provide financial support through grants and other programs to the ABC Unified School District, directly impacting student learning experiences.
The largest funding program is the annual grant program where we give back the funds we've raised to fund important programs at schools throughout the ABC Unified School District. In addition, we provide Pathway to Success Scholarship, and support ABCUSD elementary Spelling Bee, ABCUSD Student Film Festival, Black History Month Visual & Performing Arts Contest, Heritage Hispanic–Latino Heritage Month Visual & Performing Arts Contest, and ABCUSD CodeJam etc.
